Shannon O'Hearn, 2011 -- Field Hockey
Traveled to Palm Springs, CA in November 2009 to participate in the 4-day United States Field Hockey Association's outdoor 'National Festival', the largest youth FH tournament in the world. She also plays indoor FH (a small court, 6v6 faster-paced version that is to 11v11 outdoor FH what indoor soccer is to outdoor soccer) during the winter for the Montgomery Jackals u19 team, In CA, Shannon's team finished in third place in their pool of seven teams, yet was only one win and a one-goal differential from finishing first. There were over 300 teams from around the country playing in 7-team pools in u14, u16, u19, mixed, boys u14, boys u19, and Open divisions. Shannon plays the indoor club FH tournaments in PA, D.C., MD, VA and DE for the Jackals u19 select team.
 
Piper Spiller, 2012 -- Field Hockey, Softball
Piper competed for the 2nd time in as many years with her elite indoor field hockey team at the 2010 U.S. Field Hockey Association's National Indoor Tournament in VA Beach in March. She captained her 'Jackals' team -- which is a virtual who's who of All-Star FH MoCo talent -- to a 5th place finish (of 8 teams) in the top pool nationally for u16 indoor FH teams. In November '09 she traveled to Palm Springs, CA with Shannon (above) to participate in the United States State Field Hockey Association's outdoor 'National Festival'. As a 15-year old she played with Shannon's u19 age group team. Piper has also played at an outdoors East Coast Regional tournament in Brooklyn, NY. She is a member of the USFHA Futures program. Piper also plays for the Burtonsville Heat u16 travel softball club which plays tournaments in the PennDelMarVa region and which qualified to play in the 2009 ASA Finals in Roanoke, VA. Several other Heat players lead their varsity teams at Blake, Paint Branch, Gaithersburg, and St. Johns College HS.
 
Emma Wells, 2011 -- Field Hockey
A member of the USFHA Futures Developmental program, Emma also plays on an indoor select team for the Montgomery Jackals u19. Tournaments are played in the PennDelMarVa regions.
 
Micah Brown, 2012 -- Field Hockey
Micah plays off-season on an indoor Montgomery Jackals u16 select FH team at tournaments in PA, D.C., and the DelMarVa regions. She is also a USFHA Futures player.
 
Brittany Lambert, 2012 -- Field Hockey
Brittany is a USFHA Futures Developmental player and is a goalie in the Montgomery Jackals u16 select FH program. The Jackals' program is directed by -- and the top Jackals FH teams are personally coached by -- former QO FH coach + former B-CC lacrosse coach, and now AD at Holy Cross, Jenna Ries.
 
Colleen Connolley, 2013 -- Field Hockey
Colleen is a USFHA Futures Developmental player and plays tournament travel FH for the Washington Wolves FH club in Montgomery County. The Wolves are directed and coached by one of the pre-eminent coaches in the area -- B-CC's Amy Wood. They play tourmaments in PA, D.C. and the DelMarVa regions. Colleen's older sister, Shannon, is a 2008 SHS grad now playing FH on scholarship at Syracuse University.
